In 2013, the owners of Seattle German Pubs began searching for the perfect spot for a German bier bar in Boise. After deciding that it had to be on 8th St., Two Plank Construction helped them secure a great spot in the historic Idaho Building. We completely gutted the former women's clothing store and began reconstruction by adding two ADA bathrooms and a small kitchen to the 800 sq. ft. space. In addition to commissioning custom trestle tables from a local woodworking firm, we also installed a massive slab of Sapele wood as a bar top. Prost! takes a lot of pride in their huge selection of traditional glassware, which we showcase on a timber frame back bar built with traditional mortise and tenon joinery. Outside, we teamed with a custom fabricator to build hammered steel patio furniture topped with salvaged old growth redwood slabs.
